I'm putting Motorola above Samsung when it comes to flip phones - and won't think twice

In March, I put my iPhone into a yellow cardboard box with MO stamped on top—the M looked like a riff on the Motorola logo; the O looked like a flower. Over the next several weeks, I left my phone there for roughly 23.5 hours out of every day.

Maneesha Panja, 30, joined Month Offline, a program that syncs smartphone data to a flip phone. She spent a month using her flip phone and meeting with other members of the group. She said she made new friends and had more time to read. In the end, she decided to keep her dumb phone.
