There has been an erosion of U.S. influence and security. Rather than stabilize the region, the war has created new vulnerabilities. Our NATO allies have limited their support, and the war has expanded into a regional conflict with Iran launching strikes, including against U.S. bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
